LHCPTA is offering a scholarship to 1 graduating high school senior from La Habra High School and 1 graduating high school senior from Sonora High School for their volunteer service in the school and community. Scholarships from La Habra Council of PTAs do not have a grade point average requirement.
Application/required documents must be received by 11:59pm PST March 31st.
NOTE: Applications received after the deadline or that are missing required documents/attachments will not be considered.
To Qualify:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a graduating senior from La Habra High School or Sonora High School
Be a member of their school's PTA/PTSA by December 31st 2025
Enrolling in an accredited college/university or trade school in the Fall following graduation
Complete the Google Form and attach the following items:
A clear copy/photo of the applicant's PTA/PTSA Membership card
An essay by the applicant describing the following:
Volunteer experience: with/for PTA/PTSA
Education and career goals/objectives
Volunteer experience/service: with/for the school
Volunteer experience/service: with/for the community (outside of the school)
Anything else the applicant feels would be important for LHCPTA to know
2 Letters of Reference
Must be written for this specific scholarship
One of the letters must:
include information about the type of community service completed
be completed by a non-relative, volunteer leader with whom the applicant has served
